◆ There are four versions of Mazzer grinder:
1. Manual version
2. Timer version
3. Automatic version
4. Electronic version
If your Mazzer Mini is a Manual or Timer version, the doserlees kits can be installed without any modify.
If your Mazzer Mini is an Electronic or Automatic version, it need to make a jumper wire attached to the junction strip on the electronic base to bypass the electronic control panel or micro switch.

The modifications of Mazzer Mini Automatic or Electronic grinder involve tampering with high-wattage electrical circuits, which could result in electric shock, burns, other serious personal injury and other property damage. The modifications of grinder is for users with proper electrical safety knowledge only. Attempting to access your grinder machine will void its warranty. Here are some methods of making jumpers for reference, but because the wiring version of each area may be different, you may not be able to make jumpers to bypass safety sensor switches or electronic controllers according to the following instructions. If you do not have proper electrical safety knowledge, please do not try to modify it.
◆ If your Mini is an Automatic version, you need to remove the microswitch of the doser very carefully.
A.The doser have two grey wires attached to the junction strip on the base as indicated A. The switch is normally closed so you need to make a jumper wire to replace the switch as shown:
B.The doser have another two black wires attached to the junction strip on the base. The switch is normally opened so you just remove the wire on the switch as indicated B.

The results are as follows:
If the jumper is completed successfully, turn on the power then the motor will work. Turn off the power then the motor will stop.
◆ If your Mini is an ElectronicType-A version, you need to remove the electronic control panel very carefully. (Not applicable to electrical Type-B version)
◆ The electronic control panel have green, black, blue, brown four wires attached to the junction strip on the base. You need to make a jumper wire to cross the green and brown wires, and remove the 4 wires as shown.
◆ Please note that if the connect position of the jumper is wrong, it will cause electrical shorts, burn the fuse, and even more serious damage. If you do not have proper electrical safety knowledge, please do not try to modify it.
If the jumper is completed successfully, turn on the power then the motor will work. Turn off the power then the motor will stop.
◆ When opening the base, before making the jumper, you can hear a clicking sound when turning off the motor, that is the sound of the motor centrifugal switch. Therefore, after making the jumper, a clicking sound will still be heard when the motor is turned off. This is normal.

It’s fairly unusual for me to bother leaving product reviews, but I was so impressed by the Mazzer Mini Doserless kit provided by Daniel that I felt compelled.
The design is very clever, the fit and finish of the parts is excellent, and the instructions (complete with photos) were easy to follow.
I was originally planning on using 3D printed parts, but am very glad I went with this option.

Impressive! Just received my kit in the UK in under 10 days . The whole process was smooth, from purchasing, communications and delivery. The items come individually wrapped with clear instructions.
For those interested (UK people) an extra 29£ in import duty had t be paid before dispatch from Customs/Parcel Force.
Installation was easy although in my kit (Mazzer Mini) the instructions included were for the Major/Jolly rather than the Mini which initially got me confused when removing the doser. Once I noticed that everything just worked.

I love this! I’ve owned my dosered Mazzer Mini for 15 years, and was getting really tired of the daily time wasted in cleaning out the doser. Daniel’s mod is clean, highly functional, beautiful, and very quick to install. And it arrived in the US just a few days after I ordered it, no import fees added. I echo all the nice comments from the above-noted reviews, and in my own words: simply stunning pieces, designed and fabricated with care, simplicity, functionality, with perfect fit.
The cleaning of my Mazzer Mini is so much easier and faster. I do not have to remove the hopper to have access to the grain chamber, nor to lift the lid to have access to the chute. I simply use the cover plate, with the air blaster et voila, done! And the little funnel fits perfectly. I can now feed the grinder without moving it to clear the kitchen cabinets.
Daniel shipped my parcel very promptly — within ten days I had received it in perfection condition owing to his careful packaging.
To summarize: a super happy Mazzer Mini owner, now the owner of precision made and stunning Daniel Wong’s stainless steel pieces. Thank you, Daniel.

I had been going through many issues with my paypal and also forgot to add a hopper cap to my order after the fact I had already bought the conversion kit for the mazzer mini. I bought my grinder over two decades ago and recently upgraded it for single dosing using a resin 3D printed faceplate and chute. This modification served as a temporary solution for me to test out the doser-less functionality of the Mini.
While the modification fit well, it had a lot of static and I was concerned about the safety of having coffee grounds in contact with an unknown plastic material on a daily basis. To address these concerns, I decided to go with Daniel’s modification kit.
Daniel promptly reached out to me after I placed my order, and the parts arrived in Toronto within a week. The packaging was carefully done and the installation instructions were easy to understand.
Although I chose the unpolished version for cost reasons, the quality of the finish was excellent with no defects or blemishes. Swapping out the previous black plastic components with the stainless steel kit was a quick and simple process, bringing back the grinder’s original elegance. It looks fantastic alongside my polished espresso machine!
In practice, the removable chute effectively reduces coffee retention, effortlessly dispensing fine grounds while allowing for easy cleaning of the burr exit. Overall, the upgrade has been incredibly successful, and I highly recommend it.
